Two Year Type 2 Diabetes Study Email Contact

Clinvest, in cooperation with Dr. Melinda Crockett-Maples of Marionville, is looking for volunteers ages 18-80 who have Type 2 diabetes, also known as adult onset diabetes, to participate in a medical research study.  The purpose of the study is to compare the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug for diabetes plus metformin to glipizide plus metformin. Candidates must have been taking a stable dose of metformin for at least 2 months. If you qualify for and choose to participate in this study you will receive all study-related medical evaluations, study drug, metformin, glucometer, and test strips for 104 weeks. Compensation for time and travel is also provided.

Herbal Product for the Prevention of Migraine Headaches Email Contact

Clinvest is currently recruiting volunteers with migraine headaches to participate in a research study testing wild guava given as an effervescent tablet to see if it reduces the number and severity of migraine headaches. The study requires 5 visits to our clinic.

Did you know that if you suffer from Type II diabetes being significantly overweight makes it almost impossible to adequately control blood sugar levels? We are conducting a medical research study and are who:
> Are age 18-75 years
> Treat their Type II Diabetes with at least 1500 mg. of metformin daily

Nationwide Research Study for Alzheimer’s Disease Email Contact
We are looking for volunteers who:
> Suffer from mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease
> Are age 50 or older
> Live independently either at home or in an assisted living facility
The research study will include people who have been on a stable dose of medication for Alzheimer’s disease for the past 60 days as well as people who are not currently receiving treatment. Participants must have someone who can accompany them to study visits.  There will be 2 study groups.  Participation will last 12 or 26 weeks depending on the group assignment. Those who complete the main study will be offered the opportunity to take part in an extension of this study in which both you and the study doctor will know active study drug is given. New Class of Investigational Drugs for Acute Treatment of Migraine Headaches Email Contact

> Experience an average of 1-8  moderate to severe migraines a month

Please consider contacting us about this medical research study.  The purpose of the study is to test an investigational medication to see if it effectively and safely relieves the pain and associated symptoms of migraine when given with Tylenol ® or ibuprofen.  Saliva samples will also be collected during a migraine attack to evaluate levels of a protein called CGRP that increase during migraine attacks.  If you qualify for this study you will receive all study related medical evaluations and study medication free of charge plus compensation for time and travel.

Post-Traumatic Headaches Email Contact
Clinvest is conducting a research study to evaluate the effectiveness of a medication for post-traumatic headache.

> Are ages 18 - 55
> Have had a concussion in the past 5 years.
