Research Study for Partial Seizure Disorder
Frequently treatment for Partial Seizure Disorder includes more than 1 drug.  Clinvest, in cooperation with Dr. Kenneth Sharlin, is currently enrolling  participants in a medical research study testing the investigational use of a single drug to see if it safely and effectively controls partial seizures.
If you are currently taking 1 or 2 anti seizure medications and:
> Have had at least 4 partial seizures in the past 8 weeks without any 4 week seizure free periods.
> Do not suffer from seizures caused from conditions such as fever, toxic substances or other medical conditions.
> Are age 18 or older
If you qualify and choose to participate you will receive study drug and all study-related evaluations. Compensation for time and travel may also be provided.

Investigational Drug for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy, also known as DPN, can have significant impact on the lives of Type I and II diabetics who suffer from this painful condition.
We are looking for individuals for a research study:
> Who are currently taking medications for DPN and are continue to experience pain
> Who have been diagnosed with DPN for at least 3 months
Clinvest and Dr. Melinda Crocket-Maples are currently conducting a medical research study for people who suffer from painful DPN.  The purpose of the study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medicine in subjects with DPN.  Participants will receive either Lyrica® or placebo (an inactive look alike substance). If you qualify and choose to participate you will receive all study-related evaluations and study medication plus compensation for time and travel.

Workers who experience migraines suffer approximately a 50% decrease in work productivity. Help us learn more about how 2 different treatments affect the way you function at work by volunteering for this medical research study.

> Work at least 30 hours each week
> Are able to complete 1-2 minute hourly assessments from your cell phone when treating 4 headaches at work
> Routinely treat your headaches with a triptan or Treximet®

Post Herpetic Neuralgia Research Study
Post herpetic neuralgia, also known as PHN, is characterized by throbbing, stabbing or burning pain or increased sensitivity. PHN may last for months or even years after the rash associated with herpes zoster is gone.
If you:
> Have suffered from of PHN for at least 9 months
> Age between the ages of 18 and 80
You may qualify for a medical research study testing a drug that is investigational for the treatment of the pain associated with PHN. Two Year Type 2 Diabetes Study Email Contact

Clinvest, in cooperation with Dr. Melinda Crockett-Maples of Marionville, is looking for volunteers ages 18-80 who have Type 2 diabetes, also known as adult onset diabetes, to participate in a medical research study.  The purpose of the study is to compare the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug for diabetes plus metformin to glipizide plus metformin. Candidates must have been taking a stable dose of metformin for at least 2 months. If you qualify for and choose to participate in this study you will receive all study-related medical evaluations, study drug, metformin, glucometer, and test strips for 104 weeks.
