Roger K. Cady, MD
CEO
As a Family Practice physician, Dr Cady founded Headache Care Center in Springfield, MO, in 1995. He fulfilled his vision of sharing knowledge gained from research directly with Primary Care providers when he founded Clinvest and the Primary Care Network in 1997. As an ACCME provider, Primary Care Network (PCN) has educated over 50,000 physicians within 9 years. Investigator-initiated and sponsor-funded research conducted with members of PCN and managed by Clinvest has been disseminated via publication, lectures, and the Internet and frequently served as pilot studies for much larger trials conducted by leading pharmaceutical companies. He is best known in the medical community for his pivotal contributions in the field of headache and migraine management. He is co-recipient of the prestigious Harold Wolff Award in 2000 for his research on the spectrum of primary headache in migraine sufferers. He has authored/co-authored numerous books, chapters, abstracts, and journal articles.
Dennis L. Reeves, PhD
Vice President, Clinvest
Dr. Reeves assumed the responsibilities of Vice President of Clinvest in 2004. A neuropsychologist, he previously served as Commander in the U.S.Navy for 22 years. His final year of active duty was spent as Combat Stress Care Coordinator with the 1st Medical Battalion in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In addition to overseeing all aspects of clinical research and research management, he has expanded the scope of research to include federally funded grants in the area of behavioral neuroscience, 'Post Traumatic Stress Disorder', and polytrauma. Dr Reeves is widely published and frequently sought as a speaker on PTSD and neuropsychological testing of cognition impairment due to physiological and environmental factors.
M.E. Beach, BS
Director, Clinvest Research Management
M.E. Beach, Director of Clinvest Research Management, has been part of the management team since the inception of Clinvest nine years ago. Prior experience as Research Coordinator, in combination with a personal dedication to the advancement of research and education for primary care physicians, provided the insight necessary to oversee the conduct of investigator-initiated, as well as pharma-sponsored protocols. Management of multi-site studies enables her to maintain a cooperative working relationship with a large number of qualified Clinvest investigators across the United States. These relationships have proved an asset to both the Clinvest staff and the network of sites assembled over the years. M.E. has co-authored and edited various journal articles and presentations. Her dedication to excellence and integrity sets the standard for the entire management team.
Jeanne Tarrasch, BSN
Jeanne’s experience as patient case manager in the Headache Care Center clinic setting, Clinvest Study Coordinator, and Director of Clinical Research, makes her a valuable asset to Clinvest Research Management. In her current position as Research Associate, Jeanne is involved in planning training programs to assure quality, uniform instruction is provided to investigators and coordinators. Her contributions to project development result in quality protocols with study materials designed to efficiently meet study objectives. She has served as a monitor providing reliable, accurate data collection and timely query resolution. Now, as a liaison with Clinvest research sites, she works to maintain an efficient working alliance that spans the country.
Becky Plumpe
Becky Plumpe serves as Clinvest Administrative Assistant. During her seven years with Clinvest, she has become very familiar with the various studies and staff at the sites within the research network. Becky maintains the extensive database of investigators, oversees data entry and works with site staff to complete regulatory and IRB submissions.
Susie Brothers
As Research Assistant for Clinvest, Susie Brothers incorporates all of the detail oriented skills used during six years with Primary Care Network as Media Traffic Coordinator. Her experience in tracking, management logistics, and workshop recruiting has added a wealth of expertise to this organization. As part of the research management group, Susie serves as coordinator for site recruitment and performance tracking.
